With the weather getting (a little) chillier, I find myself struggling to brainstorm outfits that don’t consist of a basic sweater and jeans. I also feel slightly guilty that a sizable portion of my closet doesn’t get any wear time. On that list? Mini skirts. Quilted, pleated, drop waist – all of them are too cute to not wear for 6 or so months. My solution? Tights.
For the holiday season, tights are a great solution for every event. I’m all about the basic solid opaque like these tights by L’eggs. So timeless and they slenderize your legs in the best way. Plus, they make walking around on wood floors oh-so fun.
To get into the festive spirit (and protect from a little rain), this burgundy trench coat is to die for. I love the way it flows and the double breasted design on the front. So classic. Mixing textures of black with it makes the outfit a little more dynamic. It’s so easy to mix fabrics when they’re all the same color and it always manages to make you look a little more chic.
