It’s about this time of the holiday season that I start second guessing if I have enough outfits to get me through. Whether you’re the kind of girl that fills the calendar with events or one that prefers one major affair, there’s something special about the holidays! You want the perfect festive ensemble and there’s no shame in that. I’ve shared my holiday dress guide and a silky burgundy dress perfect for office parties and formal events. But if you’re still looking for the perfect holiday outfit, try this lace ruffle hem dress.

What makes it perfect? For one, the color. I love the burgundy and navy combination. Again, it’s not an obvious choice for the holidays which means you can wear it longer than just one month of the year. I also love the ruffle details on the hem. I’m not going to lie. I thought I’d hate them. I thought they’d call attention to my already wide hips. However, I found that they distract from them! The dress goes in slightly at the thigh and then the little ruffle gives you that feminine curve. The lace texture, the balloon sleeves, and the fact that it is on sale (30% off), only help to further its case. It’s good.

Of course, I broke out my favorite designer heels with this dress. I’ve said this so many times before but these are the best investment. I get so much use out of them and they’re incredibly comfortable. They also last for years!
