Italist Review: Golden Goose Sneakers

You’d think it was April with all the spring fever I have. I can’t get enough bright colors and cute floral shoes. These Golden Goose sneakers from Italist are one of those I-can’t-wait-to-wear items.

If you’re new to Italist they are one of the largest luxury online retailers (as well as the first) and they carry some of my favorite brands. They have everything from Celine to Valentino to Tom Ford and offer clothing, bags, shoes, and jewelry. They also happen to have this pink studded velvet bag that I’ve had my eye on for spring. Another Italist option is my favorite sunglasses ever.

If you’re interested in an Italist review, shopping online at Italist was really easy – I love the layout of the site and the way they allow you to search easily through designers as well. If you’re looking for a good deal on designer items, their sale section has some great finds too. Shipping was incredibly fast and reasonably priced. My Italist review is all positive!

I put these Golden Goose sneakers on last weekend with every intention of wearing them outside. Then, it started to snow. The life of a girl in the Midwest in February! So, I wore them inside the apartment for a bit to break them in and tried styling them a few ways.

Shoes like this can often be confusing when it comes to styling. At least for me. I have a couple pairs that in the past, have sat in my closet all spring and summer. I’ll look at them every now and then and wonder what I can wear them with that won’t my legs look shorter than they already are. But sneakers are so incredibly comfortable that one of my goals this year is to find ways to style them. Even if my legs look the length they actually are: short.

When it comes to detailing, the hand painted flowers on these Golden Goose sneakers is amazing. The colors go together so well in a subtle, yet tasteful way. The star on the side and the burgundy suede on the back are more great details that really drew me to this pair. If you’re on the Italist website, you know how hard of a decision that is. There are so many options and colors available. If I’m being honest, I had to bring Matt in to help me decide because I also loved this pair! If you’re looking for another Italist option, I also own this rockstud pair and am obsessed with them.

When it comes to the challenges of styling sneakers (as an adult), I love the way they look with these light wash boyfriend jeans. A simple basic pink Henley on top was enough to let the shoes do the talking. I also want to style them with midi dresses and skirts. I like the way the feminine balances out the athletic. Of course, denim shorts work just as well and are the obvious option.
