Hello moto and hello new year! If you follow me on Instagram, you know we’ve been in warmer temperatures. Matt and I just made it back to Chicago yesterday. I think it’s safe to say we are both still jet lagged! And while the 12 degree temps were quite the shock to our system, I guess I’m grateful it wasn’t sub-zero? Small wins!
This outfit is from a few weeks back when Matt and I were exploring Wacker Drive. Chicago is known for its unique architecture and there’s only one better way to see it than on foot. The best way is the Chicago Architecture Tour but since the river has now frozen over, that’s not exactly an option. My mom and I went on it when she was here! She loved it as a first timer and I was reminded why it’s so good!
There is something about the shape of a moto jacket which immediately elevates your look. The structuredness (is that a word?) is such a perfect juxtaposition for any flowy top or knit sweater. Before spotting this one, a white moto had never been on my wish list. But I just love the ivory shade of this one and have found it’s so easy to pair with any neutrals!
It also happens to be easy to pair with these caramel cognac accessories. I’m (still) wearing my favorite fringe scarf because it does keep you extremely warm. I’m also pairing it with an affordable knit from BP. The sweater also comes in multiple colors so if you want to try a different color combination, it’s easy to do! These black jeans and over the knee boots are the perfect palette to mix endless colors with! Can’t go wrong here!
