We all know there is a lot of noise when it comes to sales over any long weekend! Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day – tons of sales all over the place! If you’re anything like me, you approach these sales with skepticism because most of them aren’t that great. I’m not really into the kinds that are only discounting items already on sale or the ones that require you to jump through tons of hoops. If it’s too confusing, it’s probably not a good deal. Also, I don’t get out of bed for anything under 15% – you might as well not even run a promotion at that point. I’ve done a little research on my favorite sites and here are the sales I would recommend. If you’re going to take time out of your weekend to shop online and forgo an hour or two in the sun, you want to use your time wisely!
Here are the 5 Memorial Day sales you need to shop…
1. Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale
While this isn’t exactly a sale marketed around Memorial Day, it happens to have kicked off 2 days ago! If you missed my post on the best deal in the sale, you can catch it here. There are thousands of items included in the Nordstrom sale that are up to 40% which means it’s going to be tough to make it through. As with most of their sales, the good stuff goes first so be sure to shop early. I used this opportunity to stock up on my favorite basics and a few summer items which I recapped in the post!
2. Dermstore (20% off site wide with code MDSALE20)
Almost as good as the Sephora VIB sale, this is a great opportunity to refresh your skincare routine. You can stock up on your favorites or add something new to the mix if you’ve discovered one of your products isn’t working for you! This is also a great chance to read up on why you should be reading the ingredients in your beauty products! Some of my favorite brands to look for include Jurlique (I restocked on the serum I use in my everyday skincare routine), GlamGlow for good face masks, REN for generally “safe” beauty products, Sunday Riley (I use their Martian Mattifying Toner), and Becca for highlighters.
3. Serena & Lily (20% off site wide with code AMAZING)
I just refreshed the bedding in our guest bedroom with Serena & Lily. I haven’t posted it yet but let me tell you, it has me wondering if we made a mistake. That is, a mistake by not doing our master bedroom first! The sheets are so incredibly soft and I love the designs. So chic. They have all sorts of categories from bedding, to lighting, to outdoor decor. I’m also pretty obsessed with this hanging rattan chair and now need to buy a house with a porch so I can have one!
4. West Elm (15% off $100, 20% off $500, 25% off $1000, 30% off $3000 with code MORELOVE)
I’m a huge fan of West Elm too and if you’re looking to make a big purchase, now is the time to do it. While this sale probably isn’t worth it if you’re just picking up some new decor items (although they do appear to have a lot of new items on clearance), tons of bigger items are eligible for this sale. Most notably, the herringbone mirror that y’all always ask about when I post on Instagram! It automatically gets you 20% off just that alone which is a steal! Now is also a great time for rugs! I have their Jute Chenille rug in our master bedroom which I feel is one of the best rugs I’ve found (no awkward wrinkling).
5. LOFT (check the homepage because the code and % will likely change)
How could I not? I know, I know. It feels LOFT is always having a sale. Mostly because they are. Today it’s 40% off with code VACAY but it will likely change throughout the weekend if past experience is any indicator. LOFT is my go to for work appropriate clothing. I know so many of you have asked for more inspiration at the office which is why I included this work dress in my A Dress A Day series that is currently going on (we are on Day 11)! Here are some of my favorite options from the sale:
What are y’all doing besides (shopping these sales) this weekend? Did you see today’s patriotic post with a star printed dress?
