Friday Five: 5 Best Beach Bags for Summer

Oh yes, it’s that time of year again! When tropical destinations and warm weather vacations start to become a reality! There is nothing that fills someone with more joy than putting that out of office message on and checking out for a few days. It’s needed for your mental health. With the promise of a few days in the sun comes the question of what to pack. One thing I often forget is a beach bag! Hence today’s Friday Five about the best beach bags for summer!

There is nothing that’s more of a drag than when you get to the beach and you realize you don’t have a tote that you feel good taking in the sand. When Matt and I spent a weekend in Miami earlier this year, that happened to me. Again. Something just doesn’t feel right about setting your delicate crossbody in the sand. I also don’t want to be cleaning the debris out of it for months to come! Admittedly, I probably overcorrected for our next trip seeing as I have 3 beach bags ready to go (including this one from above). There is no way I’m going to fit these in my suitcase!

Here are the 5 best bags for summer..

1. The “say it all” tote.

Just like a graphic tee, there’s nothing like one of these bags to make you more proud to be going on vacation. These cheeky phrases are sure to get a smile out of anyone walking by. The most difficult decision you’re going to have to make this trip is what message you want to say.

2. The quirky little clutch.

Pineapples, poms, and palm trees. What could be cuter than a little clutch with a big personality? While these bags might not be able to hold everything under the sun (literally), I like to carry them inside my bigger totes so that I can find things that I need to have easily accessible. Like my iPhone. If you don’t Instagram Story it, it didn’t happen, right? Plus, the price points are really friendly on the budget.

3. The straw carry all.

There is nothing that pairs better with that margarita than a straw tote. When it comes to sitting poolside or lounging on the beach, these totes are worry free. Got a little sand in them? That’s fine. It’s meant for that. The sand makes it more authentic anyway. You’ll be able to fit everything inside too from your beach towel to your favorite beach sandals. Even that wide brimmed hat.

4. The “is it for the beach or for everyday” bag?

I finally caved and bought this bag last night. I had seen it too many times to not. I am kicking myself for not buying it sooner! It’s hard not to see this bag and fall completely in love. This year is the year of beachy vacations for Matt and I (usually we switch it up on our travel destinations like last year with Ireland) so I’m hoping to get a lot of use out of it!
