The Most Flattering Peony Printed Dress + WIWW Link Up

Be still my heart! This dress completely stole the show this weekend. With peony season in full bloom, this print could not be more fitting. Plus, it’s the only chance I have at perfectly shaped peonies – mine either die in 2 days, refuse to open up, or some awkward combination of the two (see more struggles on snapchat @jennacolgrove).

Whether you’re headed to a wedding or a picnic in the park, this peony patterned dress is just a delight. The skirt is just full enough to accentuate your figure (or disguise your hips, in my case) but not full enough to be reminiscent of the dresses you had to wear for those terrible pictures you took in an Olan Mills as a kid. You know, the ones where you had to twin with your sister in some 90s-tastic garment? I’m still scarred for life from the photos that decorate my mom’s home to this day. This fit and flare is a far cry away from those awkward years though! It’s seriously my favorite and it’s under $100! It’s extremely twirlable which is a huge plus in my book as well. Runs true to size!

These sandals are sold out but I have to share my latest crush which is these Ivanka Trump studded sandals. They’re currently on sale and add just enough edge to any look. The heel isn’t crazy high either so they’re a great option for longer wear. Catch them on Instagram here.

Since this dress is on the louder side, I kept my accessories simple although I did add in these Rogan earrings by Kendra Scott for a little burst of pizzazz. They look like they would be really heavy but they’re not. They feel just heavy enough to not feel cheap but not so heavy that they make the holes in your ear look like you’re about 80. You know what I mean.

  1. Jenna—OMG, you wouldn’t believe how much this dress reminds me of one I used to have (ummm, 25 years ago)—in fact, I’ll be showcasing the picture in our Sundress Fab Collab the first week in July! I wish I could attach the photo of it, so you wouldn’t think I’m making it up!!

  14. I’m getting a summertime screen siren from the 1950’s vibe with this whole look (midi floral dress + white shoes and accessories). However, the heel detail on those wedges are effectively modern.
