Lately, I’ve been preparing for winter by stocking up on the best sweaters and best scarves. While I love all things cozy, I found myself missing floral dresses this past weekend. Even though it has been in the 30s for the last week, I wanted to show how to style dresses like this pink ruffled midi for cooler weather. It’s possible. Trust me.
I originally picked up this white peplum coat on a whim from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I wasn’t sure if the peplum hem would be flattering on me but I really loved the unique detail. I also styled it with denim here. I broke it out for the first time last week over this floral dress in Fridays OOTD. It was surprisingly warm for a wool coat and I loved the white because it brings a little brightness to your outfit. Now, it’s 30% off which makes it even more of a steal than in the NSale. It also comes in multiple colors too!
The white peplum went so well with the pink tones of this midi dress. I love the ruffles and the A-line shape of this dress. I’ve always been a fan of more feminine cuts like this and I’ve been wearing a lot of boxy cuts lately so I wanted to mix it up. Since this blush pink midi is low on stock, I linked to a few of my floral favorites below.
I’m wearing my rockstud heels with this dress because booties and boots just didn’t feel like the right fit for this look. I’ve had these heels for 4 years so it just goes to show how long they last! I’m a huge proponent of buying a few investment pieces when it’s right and these definitely make the list. I end up wearing these for almost every wedding and formal event because they seem to go with just about everything. If you’re not quite ready to invest, here are some dupes for under $120.
