It took me awhile to get on board with the cold shoulder trend. It has the tendency to max my arms look a bit boxy (most likely the result of shoulder presses in Pure Barre 4 times a week). However, if done right, it can be ultra feminine as seen here on this white and blue mini dress.
There are so many elements to this dress which make it work. The flutter sleeves, the dainty tie across the bust, and the fit and flare shape are just a few. I love that the waist is elastic which ups the ante when it comes to comfort. It also makes it a great beach day coverup and when you live in Los Angeles, that’s one of the first thoughts that come to mind with summer around the corner! I also love the tie dye-ish print for a little groovy vibe.
I’m also obsessed with these ear cuffs by Kendra Scott. They come as a trio with silver, gold, and rose gold so it’s the ultimate bang for your buck. I love small details like this which make your jewelry game just a little more edgy. In lieu of getting another ear piercing (I can’t quite decide where I would want it), it’s the perfect solution.
In case you missed my raving about white accessories, they are back in full force in today’s outfit. I just adore how easy they are to pair with literally everything. When it comes to spring and summer, everything is brightly colored and they are the easiest option. I mean, no one wants to wear black when it’s a gorgeous day outside, right? The mood just doesn’t fit! Save that for fall when it’s cold and rainy!

I’m with you on being hesitant with the cold shoulder & off the shoulder trend. I have pretty strong shoulders, and consequently a small chest – so strapless anything tends to make me look like a 12 year old boy. I did finally break down and snag a top from J.Crew that has straps where I can wear a normal bra, so fingers crossed it turns out as pretty and feminine as this dress on you.
