Today, the Oxford dictionary named “selfie” the word of the year so in honor of that, I present my interpretation of it. While viewing selfies with skepticism at first, I think I’m starting to appreciate them for what they are: a great photo of yourself that says “hey world, I’m alive and I look damn good today”. If someone or something as renowned as the Oxford dictionary can publicly recognize this obsession, there has to be something to it. Perhaps that something is just that we are a generation who REALLY loves their own faces but I’m ready to stop judging and see what the selfie is all about. A little humble bragging never hurt a girl, right? Does that mean I’ll pull a Kim K when I get home tonight? Probably not. I need a little more time, a bit more derrière, and a lot more ego.

While I work up the courage to upload my very first selfie to Instagram, here’s my attempt to ease into this craze with a top that is creating a craze of its own! I give you the Sincerely Jules tee: I love Celine, am happy to support fellow bloggers, and adore anything clever. So, I had to have it. Dress it up or dress it down – you’ll feel like you’re strutting down the ANTM runway with Tyra at the end so bring that smize and get ready to greet judgement face to face.
