Looking back through photos from Bali, this is probably one of my favorite outfits. It combines feminine and masculine elements in a perfectly balanced way. I’m all about the color of this top and the lace detailing is simply stunning. I can envision so many more ways of layering it for fall! The top is a little boxy so I paired it with a flirty little skater skirt to get that girly silhouette. I’ve worn this skirt more times than I can count but there are just so many options when you have a classic piece like this. You can pair it with pretty much anything on top and it looks cute.
Slip on sneakers were a must especially since we were surrounded by the jungle. It wasn’t like we were trekking through the wilderness, but there were quite a few flights of (very beautiful) stairs where we stayed. Plus, I would have looked downright ridiculous to all the other guests who were in pool attire at all times. I’d been on the hunt for the perfect pair of white slip ons so when these dropped below $40 it was time to pull the trigger!
I added pink and purple accessories to really ‘girl’ up the ensemble. Matt got me this purple fringe bag for a honeymoon present (I didn’t even know that was a thing?). He was so adorable – he combed through my shopping wishlist and really wanted to get me something I could wear on the trip! He also surprised me with a ton of snacks for the plane flights since I’m vegetarian and a few other practical gifts to capture photos for our adventure. I was over the moon (and still am) to say the least!
