If your time is limited and you’re not having food delivered, you need to do it now. It’s one of the best things we did for ourselves! I don’t care what you do for work or where you live, it’s a complete game changer! I shared the grocery delivery service we started using a few months back called Thrive Market and y’all wanted food recommendations so here goes!
First, let me explain what Thrive Market is. The best way I can explain it is like a discounted Whole Foods that delivers to your doorstep. You can filter on any dietary restrictions you might have while shopping (vegan, paleo, gluten free, etc) and it’s great for snacks. We also do Amazon Prime but we found that there aren’t a lot of healthy options other than assorted nuts. Thrive has a lot more and the prices tend to be better. Thrive also has home, beauty, and pet products!
Second, this isn’t a sponsored post. I found Thrive Market on Instagram on my own and after placing a few orders, can vouch for the quality, savings, and options!
Third, here’s what it costs. The annual membership is $59.95. However, they don’t charge you until after your first month. So, you can try it for a month AT NO COST and then cancel it at the end of that month. I was planning to do that but we saved more than $60 on our first couple orders so I felt like it was worth it for both the variety as well as the deals. They always have promos and sales on products too which are even more discounted than the regular low prices. They also show you the savings on each product so you can gauge what you’re saving or price compare which I like!
You will get 25% off your first order if you order through this link.
That is my referral link – they give everyone a referral link when you sign up so you can invite your friends too! I like that it’s an opportunity for everyone to save a little on groceries – a little pay it forward, if you will!
Ok so what would I recommend getting from Thrive? Here are the best snacks we’ve tried and loved!
1. Newman O’s Cookies – Chocolate Vanilla Creme
These cookies are better than regular Oreos but they’re vegan. Don’t believe me? Try them. They are legitimately so good and I love the fact that they are dairy free. I even had Matt try them and he isn’t a cookie guy. We are hooked on them!
2. Siete Lime Grain Free Tortilla Chips
These tortilla chips are lighter and taste healthier than regular tortilla chips. We’ve tried a ton over the years because we are salsa and guacamole lovers! The lime flavor isn’t overpowering at all and the nutrition facts are marginally better than others I’ve seen at Trader Joe’s. My only complaint is that the bag is smaller than what you typically buy in a grocery store (there are 5 servings per bag) but they’re fun to swap into your diet every now and then.
3. Hu Almond Butter & Puffed Quinoa Chocolate Bar
If you are lactose intolerant and you love chocolate, you need to try one of these Hu Chocolate bars. I’ve tried several different flavors and they all are outstanding. They somehow manage to make this chocolate just as creamy as if it had milk in it but it’s 100% vegan. I don’t think I will ever eat a regular chocolate bar again after trying these from Hu. There’s no need to deal with the stomach cramps after eating dairy!
4. Earth Balance Vegan Cheddar Crackers
If you want another item that tastes better than the real thing, try these Earth Balance crackers. They are even better than Cheez-its in my opinion – slightly less cheese but a little more salty. Either way, I don’t miss the real thing! We also use the Earth Balance vegan butter exclusively which we usually find at Trader Joe’s and most markets!
5. Vegan Rob’s Brussel Sprouts Puffs
I know what you’re thinking, Brussel sprouts? Trust me, these things are delicious. If you love the taste of Cheetos but have always wondered exactly what they’re putting in them to get that bright orange flavor, switch them out for these Brussel Sprouts Puffs. I loved these and the cauliflower puffs so much that I added the Probiotic Dragon Puffs (a spicy version) to my last order. I’ve loved everything I’ve tried from Vegan Rob’s so far!
6. Unreal Dark Chocolate Almond Butter Cups
These Almond Butter Cups live up to their brand name. They are truly unreal. I feel way better after eating them than a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup because they are also vegan! It’s insane how much better not eating dairy has made me feel (and I’m constantly reminded when dairy somehow makes its way into my food)! These Almond Butter Cups come individually wrapped which is nice so you can control your portions and I don’t find that I binge eat them because the dark chocolate is not crazy sweet – just sweet enough. Unreal also makes a few other flavors and more chocolate candy too!
7. Purely Elizabeth Ancient Grain Granola Cereal
I’d been hearing so much about Purely Elizabeth that when I saw it on Thrive, I decided to add it to my cart. It’s 31% off on their site, so why not? It’s delicious. There are a few different flavors and I usually have a bowl of bran cereal with a little bit of this granola on top. This combo is slightly healthier than a full bowl of granola which would probably be too rich for me. I also use Silk Vanilla milk, only 30 calories per serving, that we pick up from our local market!
8. Primal Kitchen Vegan Ranch with Avocado Oil
I’d been struggling to find vegan dressing so I checked Thrive and sure enough, I found some! This vegan ranch isn’t as creamy as the Daiya dressings I’ve tried in the past but it still has great flavor. I’ve also heard about the amazing health benefits of Avocado Oil so I was excited to mix this into my routine. I’m not able to eat dressings on repeat because I get really bored of the flavor but I would definitely repurchase this one!
9. Smokey Carolina BBQ Vegan Jerky
I know that vegan jerky isn’t something that appeals to the masses but this is my favorite vegan jerky out there. I’ve tried the other flavors by this brand and they aren’t quite as good but this one is delicious! If you need a high protein snack and don’t feel like chewing actual beef, this is a really good option! There are only 80 calories in a serving too!
10. Seed Phytonutrients Hand Salve
I know this isn’t a snack but when I saw that the hand salve I use was on Thrive, I had to add it to the list! This hand cream literally takes years off your hands. With winter coming up, trust me. You’re going to want this. I’ve been experimenting with a lot of Seed Phytonutrients’ beauty products and they’re all pretty good for being safe beauty products. I think the hand salve is probably the best product!
If you’re looking for budget friendly clean beauty products, I’d recommend just about everything else as it performs average to good I’d say. If you want the best performing safe beauty products, read my skincare routine here!
