Augustinus Bader. I can’t tell you how long I’ve held out on trying this brand… and boy, do I regret it. I can officially say I understand the hype. Augustinus Bader sent me their The Retinol Serum to try but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
You’ve undoubtedly heard of the Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream if you’ve spent time on Instagram. The raving reviews are valid. It’s award winning for a reason. Not only does it moisturizer, it supports cellular renewal to improve the complexion’s appearance. 30 years of research has gone into making the perfect daily moisturizer and you can feel it when you apply it on your skin. Here are more details!
Let’s talk about a beauty buzzword: retinol. I’ve dabbled from time to time with various brands and never really saw results. Until Augustinus Bader. My skin feels noticeably softer – coming from the queen of serums and peels. It’s truly like I was able to rewind time. I did also see a decrease in my wrinkles and melasma (pigmentation). The best part? There was no irritation or redness when I started using Augustinus Bader’s The Retinol Serum. My skin absolutely feels better, kind of like my 17 month old son’s.
I’ve often heard horror stories of the adjustment period of retinol: skin getting terribly dry, peeling, breakouts… but the hydrating formula of The Retinol Serum makes for an easy transition that still delivers results. Another side effect I didn’t expect was a decrease of congestion in my chin (my problem area). I’ve been trying to fight chin congestion (yes breakouts just like anyone but also clogged pores that just seem to always be there) for YEARS.
In addition to how soft and plump my skin has felt, there is a LOT of product in this container. While similar serums have lasted 2-3 months, I’m 2 months into my Augustinus Bader skincare journey and I’ve got so much product left.
If you’ve been on the hunt for a retinol, I’d definitely recommend trying The Retinol Serum by Augustinus Bader.
